This determination is vital for verifying the real existence of a customer or supplier, thereby ensuring their authenticity and compliance with regulations.
Depending on the legislation of Sage Active, different valid document types are listed within this section.
Globally, the API automatically handles the assignment of appropriate document types based on the legislation and the country of the clients or suppliers at the time of their creation.
An exception exists for Spanish legislation ES, where it may be necessary to specify a particular document type for thirds that are not part of the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System).
